I chatted up the bass player during the break - he was playing a ES> 1957 ES> PF> Fender P bass. He bought it in 1972, hadn't done a ES> thing to it.
Sounded pretty good for being an almost 70 year old bass. Looking online, it's similar to the beat-up bass Sting played in The Police. ES> PF> ES>
Wow, that thing must be worth a fortune. I guess playing bass probably isn't this dude's day job if he can afford to hold on to that :P
