• Question about messages

From Flavio Bessa@4:801/188 to All on Wed Apr 24 22:35:44 2024
    Hello,

At my control file, I have:

messages <directory> ; path name to mail server's FidoNet mail area

What would be that path? At Mystic all messages that belong to NETMAIL area go to a directory where a JAMBase file called "netmail.jdx" is located. Would that be the directory?

    Regards,
    Flavio

That directory is for netmail in *.msg format.

MakeNL only supports a *.MSG netmail area. If your software doesn't support *.MSG for outgoing netmail, then you will need to use some other method to send your segment file to the next level coordinator. Possibilities include copying the segment file into a filebox directory for your uplink, or using a utility program of some type to create a file attachment in your mailer's outbound queue. For BinkleyTerm style outbounds, PLEASE.COM can do this, amongst others.
