    It turns out qpdf does work, with an odd quirk: When downloaded and
    opened, the forms don't display correctly. If edited, saved and opened
    again, the form displays OK. It's still unclear how the forms will
    print, but it's a start.

    Thanks for reading, any alternatives to qpdfview are still welcome!

    It's tax time, and I'm filling out state and federal tax forms.
    The chrome browser seems to work, but I'm wondering if there
    might be other choices worth trying since chrome has a great
    deal going on besides editing, none of which I need or want.

    I've tried qpdfview from the Accessories menu. It works on some

    Any alternate suggestions would be appreciated!

    I have a custom Python script for that. I already have a database for
    managing my time and billing, as well as GST, expenses and depreciation,
    so it was easy enough to pull out the right numbers for that, and
    superimpose them (suitably laid out) on top of the PDF pages as
    background.
