Thank you sire. Just getting over it. It has the brain foggy a
lot. And now there is a dose of shingles going around so I
    ain't leaving the house

I've heard that shingles is very painful and disfiguring. If you
have had the chicken pox in years past, you now have that virus
inside you...and it's recommended that you get a shingles shot.

I have a feeling I had chicken pox as a child, my mother didnt trust the local doctor. Being the early 70s there was no choice locally.

I caught the chicken pox 45 years ago from my now late brother,
who had caught it from his first wives kids. His case was relatively
mild, but mine was so severe, that it nearly went into encephalitis.
It put me in the hospital for a week, and out of work at Burger King,
and out of college at the University Of Arkansas At Little Rock for
    2 months!!

It was like someone had dropped me into a vat of itching powder,
and even the pulsating Water-Pik shower massage didn't do any good
from the itching. Top to bottom, front to back...including my groin
and buttocks...were covered in those things. I had to take nasty
oatmeal baths...and had sworn I'd never eat that again. However, when
I had to have all my teeth removed over 25 years ago (I've been
wearing full dentures since then), I was eating things like oatmeal, scrambled eggs, mashed potatoes, ice cream, etc. for 3 months. Those
    got old in a hurry!!

Yeah I think that now you save that, I remember that I did because my mother used to scold me for itching :)

Back to the shingles, this guy went into this clinic, and said that
he needed to see the doctor. When the nurse asked him what was wrong,
he said "I have the shingles".

There was no 3 hour wait in the waiting room...they rushed him to
the exam room, and the doctor was in there in 2 minutes!! The exchange went like this:

    Doctor: What's wrong??

    Patient: I've got the shingles.

Doctor: How long have you had them??

    Patient: Since this morning.

The doctor looks him over, and says "I don't see any evidence of
the shingles". To which, the patient replies "I'm the roofing guy.
They're in the truck. Where do you want them??!!". <BG>
