From TheCivvie@618:500/1.3 to All on Fri Nov 14 20:08:28 2025

    Hello everybody!

I am heading for Dublin in the morning for my Ham exam. I am expecting a big fat fail due to memory issues, but it will help be refine my study. Of course the day the exam is now, there is a rain event on with floods expected. So I may become a boat :)

I'm sure you will. I am hoping by then I'll have some sort of a HF station
up and running. Ireland is usually pretty easy for me to work during
greyline even when conditions aren't the best on 20 or 40.

I struggled to get my 2 ADSB and AIS antenna up. The housing association are very strict about antenna and I am in a dip between 2 2 story houses and I only have 1 :)

You might want to look at a vertical HF antenna. Those can be easily
    hidden in plain sight.

I hide 2 antenna around the back that cannot be seen but they are for ADSB and AIS and the position does restrict AIS
