    Hello All,

I just found out the last of my long-time BBS callers (25 years!) passed away in November. I'm actually very sad to hear this. He was a good guy and he bought me a UPS for my BBS to run on just before he passed away.

He was a long-time member of the Fidonet COOKING echo (I am now its moderator; all of the old guard has passed away) and a very prolific poster.

    Time waits for no one.

Sorry to hear that you've lost a friend.

Ahhh, I think I know who you mean. Initials D.D. ?

    Truth.

Thanks. He was also kept me on my toes with my BBS: letting me know if there were problems or if it was down, et ceteras. He was also a mean Scrabble player. Both of my long-time Scrabble players have now passed. My board
    feels lonely now.

    The same.

Same here. IIRC, I think he used to be a sysop, too.

He ran a Citadel BBS and also had his own computer store in the 80s. He was also a Navy veteran.
