I believe it. The USPS is raising rates like crazy; soon it'll cost $1 to send a letter.

While you could use USPS, it'd be more cost effective to ship useing UPS or other package-delivery service.

Postage is not the cause. Thanks to email and social media, it's just more efficient and cost effective. Even sending important documents electronically has become commonplace.

Unless you're the federal government. The VA still sends letters and
such. You cannot contact them by email. Contacting them by phone is
very difficult also.
