Hello All,
Another handy script I use a lot...this one shut off my monitor. I frequently leave my computer running overnight for various reasons and it's in my bedroom and the monitor faces my bed.
This turns off a single monitor that I know of. When I can use both of my monitors again, I'll try it.
Anyhow, here's the script for sh:
===
#!/bin/sh
sleep 1; xset dpms force off
===
The sleep 1 makes sure you're not typing to turn off the monitor.
To turn the monitor on, press any key to wake the system up.
I have this assigned to the Super (Windows key)-O key combo under XFCE.
