At least with Chrome, you know you're being spied on by default. <G>
I don't trust Duckduckgo that much (and, to be honest, I browse the Internet over Tor or other anonimity overlays, so this is not much of a concern), but I understand MS gets to see which queries are done to DDG without being able to correlate them to the user that issues them... at least, they aren't supposed to be able to do direct correlation afaik.
(Again, this asumes you trust DDG to begin with)
