• Malwarebytes reports troj

I installed a vm and installed malwarebytes. It has changed a lot. stupid splash screens when installing, takes a while. looks like bloatware. whoever runs this shit is a moron.

damn dude malwarebytes really hates your ass.
when trying to telnet to it, it blocks and does a popup.

you should contact them and give them your ip to get unblacklisted.

Yeah, I started having issues right about the time that I started having
issues with a couple of the little sh!ts in the FIDO Politics echo. One of them is one of your favorite guys... the one that mentions you in his BBS ads... but that may just be a coincidence as I don't think they are sharp enough to "swat" my IPA to malwarebytes. ;)

I will have to go to their website and see about getting removed from their list.

    Mike

Oh that might be it, but it's probably not joe. he's not smart enough.

When i had problems, i had a guy sign up for my newsletter i used to provide and then he reported me to my isp as a spammer (i was not hosting from my isp even) and they said if i was hosting with them what i was doing was okay anyways. They flagged my account so the dickhead couldnt cause problems again.

Bbses sometimes attract the crazies. This is the guy running a bbs at foxriver.net. He had some thing on his website that if you send him unsollicited email you owe him money. I'll have to go on the wayback machine and look it up for a good laugh.

Later on i had to go on these various blocklist sites and get myself removed because he added me there. I had to do it several times because they automatically share info.

I can't remember if the staff told me it was him, or it showed on the site who added me, but I remember it was linked to him. I think this was 2005, so not sure.

anyways, be prepared to notify them several times. You will probably be unblocked and end up being blocked again. I dont think many people have commercial malwarebytes but it's probably a good idea to get removed.

Maybe change your IP address too.

    I didn't think so either.

Based on what little feedback I have received so far, I believe your
original theory of the webcrawler/port bots is correct.

LOL, that is almost as good as the guy who was afraid of the "mro botnet"!

Yeah, I have since been told that peerblock also has a hard-on for my IPA, probably from sharing data.

Maybe change your IP address too.

That is the odd thing. I don't actually have a static IPA. That is, I am
not supposed to and am not paying for the service. However, it has
remained the same for a long time now. If it would change when I rebooted my modem, like it used to, I would just do that and be done with it.

Oh that's mr proper. he was a drug addict that actually scammed some sysops out of money and hardware. he still comes back once in a while and runs a bbs and takes it down. he now goes by his ham id, kk4qbn.
Nobody believed that stuff he was saying.

Yeah, I have since been told that peerblock also has a hard-on for my IPA, probably from sharing data.

Peerblock blocks a lot of stuff, especially via the web. if you are a residential ip you might be on there.

Put in another router and you should get a new ip address from your provider. then check to see if you are blocked again by malwarebytes.
There's other ways to do it but that's a pretty quick way to switch back and forth.
