• ArcaOS 5.1

From Sean Dennis@618:618/1 to All on Sat Oct 7 18:14:14 2023
    Hi everyone,

Looks like I might buy myself ArcaOS 5.1 for Christmas and move my BBS
to a spare HP EliteDesk 705 sitting here.

My BBS runs so well now that I forget it's there sometimes.

I have 5.1 installed on a lenovo box here and it runs good. And my DOS
boxes work. I just haven't had the time to migrate the BBS over to it
as of yet. One of these weekends I'll do that.

Same here, I try to remember to check it in the mornings, but don't
    always get to it.

The computer my BBS is currently on is from a generation of Dell
computers which are notorious for bad capacitors on the entire
motherboard. I haven't had problems yet but the computer is nearly 20
years old so I'd rather avoid any issues as soon as I can.

Good to know. I'm on the hunt for a dual-head PCI video card so I can
    run dual monitors on it.

Same here, I try to remember to check it in the mornings, but don't

I've been so busy that I plain forget. Trying not to and I am working
on moving the computers out of the bedroom and into the living room to
make sure I hear it if someone pages me on the BBS.

That makes sense. Might as well replace it when you can.
