What the world needs now is a good laugh from real comedians. Remember funny guys like Don Rickles, Jonathan Winters, Rich Little, Tim Conway, Johnny Carson, BobHope, George Burns, Harvey Korman, and Rodney Dangerfield? Let's not forget the ladies like Phyllis Diller, Carol Burnett, and Joan Rivers too.
They were all pretty funny. Sadly, from that list, I think that Carol is
the only one still alive. :(
I never imagined the world would be like it is today: full of snide, bitter people who can't see past the end of their noses.
Comedy has always been somewhat about poking fun at others... most of the
folks you listed above (maybe all) knew where the boundary between funny
and "too far" was and respected it. Now we have a lot of folks who like to play on the other side of the boundary and then wonder why it finally
catches up to them.
