Dense overcast with rain likely across most of Connemara through the morning, heaviest and most persistent along the northwest coast. Precipitation will gradually ease through the afternoon as skies transition to cloudy conditions, though drizzle may persist in some areas. Temperatures will remain cool, ranging from 8-10?C along the coast to 10-11?C inland. Strong north to northwest winds of 27-34 kph with gusts to 42-47 kph will persist through the day, making it feel colder, before easing slightly during the evening. Wind chill values will be particularly noticeable, dropping to 2-5?C at times.

Conditions will be most challenging along the western coastal areas where rain will be heaviest through the morning hours with totals of 5-10 mm expected. Central and eastern areas will see lighter amounts of 2-5 mm. By afternoon, rain will ease to drizzle or clear entirely, with some brighter intervals possible inland. Overnight into Friday, skies will remain cloudy with winds gradually decreasing. Temperatures will fall to 5-9?C by morning, coolest in sheltered inland valleys.
