No need, just turn the TV volume off. It's not like you miss anything by not hearing the cars,
and the driver comms are displayed as captions these days as well.
Then there's the fact that, in the last five years I've been unable to find any coverage of Super
Formula that didn't have Japanese-only commentary. I'd rather listen to 'The Race' commentary
than Japanese commentary (or silence) personally.
Funny how some people try to elevate their own status by being 'above' the level of commentary
provided by a broadcaster like Sky.
This thread was actually originally about a youtube channel called 'The Race' and their commentary
on Super Formula which they livestream free on youtube. Unfortunately the person who didn't like
the commentary also changed the subject line and broke the threading / attribution.
The Race commentary on Super Formula isn't brilliant (they're commentating in the UK and also do
other races like GTR etc. so don't have really in-depth knowledge) but they at least know which
driver is in which car etc.
They've done some homework so they can provide some information. That's something that I struggled
with when trying to follow it in Japanese - who was on-screen and why, why there was a stoppage,
what the rules were...
