• Gives a whole new meaning to Duckworth Lewis

As someone who made their mind up about Safety Cars way back in 1986 when Bobby Rahal came from way back to beat Kevin Cogan on a late lap restart in the Indy 500, I'm only surprised that they still cause controversy amongst motorsport fans - they are bound to.
Like cricket and Indycar before it, Formula 1 has now been forced to adapt to the modern TV audience - the infamous Duckworth Lewis method even resolving a World Cup final in cricket - and the game ended in the dark (there were no floodlights in the ground) with the losing team being forced to just block the last over.
