• Thank God for passes

    From bra@24:150/2 to rec.autos.sport.f1 on Wed Mar 23 14:45:00 2022
Such a treat to see Ferrari AND its drivers perform so well. If RB and MB tinker a bit, we may see some season-long excitement, with good drivers in equally-good cars battling it out.

Meanwhile in that different world, it was Texas that raised pulse rates. The Indy cars' race provided 284 passes-for-position, and 15 lead changes among 12 drivers. Oh, and the breathtaking final corner pass for the win.

    2022 --- good season a-comin'.

So Indy Cars no longer have the "Push To Pass" button available?

Yeah, it's hardly needed on a track that is sub 24 second laptimes.

(And they are so used to turning left that when they get in the pits with the wall on the left and
have to straighten the car to the right they often fail and hit pit crew or the wall - or end up on
an angle and need to be pushed back.)
