Everyone has played everyone once now.
But with tonight's results in the book (including another Dos-Cero), here is the current table:
USA 14 points +7 GD
MEX 14 points +5 GD
CAN 13 points +7 GD
PAN 11 points +1 GD
CRC 6 points -2 GD
JAM 6 points -4 GD
SLV 6 points -5 GD
HOM 3 points -9 GD
Currently USA MEX and CAN headed to Qatar -- PAN to the interconfederational playoff.
The Doctor, Binder and MH will fill us in on Canada's narrow win over CRC.

Undersells a bit the rockingness of CONCACAF: Panama was down 2-0 to >bottom-feeders Honduras until the 76th minute, then turned it around to
win 3-2 and stay in touch with the top 3.
Mexico had the better of the first half, but USA dominated the second
half and came out deserved winners.

I think a great example of how rocking CONCACAF could be will be the
next WC, with USA, Canada, and Mexico not in the qualifying because of
the triple-hosting.

The win was deserved but it was not a particularly good game. The pitch
was poor, and the game stop and start with too many fouls. CRC didn't
have much cutting edge, and Canada dominated possession and corners
without much cohesion. Goal was due to a goalkeeping mistake, but we
did hit the bar twice (well one would have been an OG, the other was a >bicycle kick by Buchanan). Davies tried to do too much in front of his
home crowd. Adekugbe was Canada's best player. Hutchinson came on in
the second half for his 89th cap, tying de Guzman for the national
record. Davies and David got taken off presumably to rest them for
Mexico. First cap for new Canadian Ike Ugbo of Genk.
Both Laryea and Kaye came off fairly early to avoid further yellows. No
new suspensions to report.
Costa Rica - they are organized and defend well, and could still take
points off anyone in CONCACAF when they are at home.
Just looked at the forecast for Edmonton tonight ( Can v Mex), -15C and
it is apparently going to snow 2-4cm during the day. As much as I think >Albertans and Edmontonians are as stupid as the FUBAR film depicts them
( Incidentally, FUBAR is where the Binder Dundat name came form) I like
the idea of picking this venue, I doubt the Mexicans will even come out
on the pitch. I have played in very cold conditions, but I dont recall
ever playing in -15C, that is pretty damn cold to play football.
Dont think they have a heated fake pitch either?

We have played Mexico in Edmonton a couple of times before, but I
believe those were in October. Both ended 2-2. One was in 1997 in the
hex, one more recent (end of Radzinski era, but it was in the
penultimate round)
But you are right, those conditions are going to be terrible for
everyone. The fieldturf pitch is poor, and here in Calgary the wind is erratic and gusting up to over 60, though it is only - 2 at the moment.
No real snow here.
Forecast for tonight in Edmonton is less wind, and a low of -11, so not really necessarily all that bad. Snow supposed to stop this afternoon.
Meanwhile, torrential rains and flooding in British Columbia.
I read that the US selected Cincinnati to play Mexico because that is
the MLS city with the lowest percentage of the population of Mexican
origin.

It used to always be Columbus, but we lost there. So Cin has more
of a nimbus :-) First time we've beaten Mexico 3 times in one
season!
As of now we have the Tuesday results... so Canada are now top!

Kanada wins dos cero. It should have been 7-1, but the coach got it wrong. You can play two styles and he got it wrong, go back to coahing girls

was an absolute mistake, as we had no outlet any more, and got squeezed
into our own end, resulting in the mexican goal and several more opportunities, from one of which they really should have equalized.
Horrible pitch. Davies was not that great in both games in Edmonton,
perhaps too much pressure returning to his home town. Adekugbe and
Johnston, though, are starting to look the real deal as FBs or wing
backs. Atiba did pretty well for a 38 year old as well.
We were a bit lucky to win, since the first goal was a GK mistake, and I would argue the second was as well - absolutely amateurish defending by Mexico on that FK. OTOH, I thought we looked the better side for most of
the game, and out defenders and GK played well for about 89 minutes -
the GK for more than that.
Getting annoyed with the way our commentators are condoning all sorts of
bad behaviour with a "this is concacaf" shrug. We are indulging in
whining, time wasting and all the other tricks we used to condemn. And
every match has several incidents of flared tempers and pushing and
shoving. This is not hockey, guys, and I bet most of you never even
played hockey.
I figure we need five more points to finish 3rd or better, but there are tough trips ahead to Costa Rica, Honduras, Panama and El Salvador, and
only two home games vs. USA and Jamaica - neither of which is a safe bet
for even one point.
