As we discussed elsewhere, a 3D angle confirmed that Marquihos was onside, but none of that is relevant because Fred should have been sent off long before that.

It's not a matter of interpretation here, it's a hard and fast rule. If you try to headbutt someone, it doesn't matter if you miss or if it's soft, thrusting your head into an opponent's head is a red card. That's the rule. End of.
