We haven't had a player in the draft since 2006 (Grabner). Rossi has arrived in the nick of time.

Picked at #9, pretty nice (but a German at #3?). Plus two Austrians
    picked later in the draft.

Yeah it's been a decent draft. Even though he's German, I'd have liked to see JJ Peterka
being drawn as a first-rounder as he would have been the first such player coming out of
the Red Bull Hockey Academy in Salzburg. But 34th overall is OK, too.
The one good think coming out of the COVID-19 deb|ocle is that there won't be any relegation
in the World Juniors, in which Austria (with Rossi) is participating for the first time in more than
a decade (and therefore will do so an unprecedented two years in a row). Huge opportunity,
even if, as is likely, they will get trounced in every game.
    Ciao,

NHL starts back up in a couple of weeks, with a new, clean and pure Kanadian only division and three dirty USA only covid ridden groups.
The odd thing is, I think most if not all of Canada is going into lockdown tomorrow, if not already. Lockdown here means, curbside pick up for everything except booze, food and weed. If we do get snow, Mont Ste Marie is claiming the Quebec gvt has deemed skiing an essential service?
